Q3 2026 - Three Things We Love

This Quarter, We're Staying Present

Here are three things that CEO and founder, Laura Sage has been thinking about since her honeymoon offering a little more evidence that mindfulness is everywhere.

Smell Can Transport Us

I came home from France with three bottles of room spray: fig, verbena, and orange blossom. It may sound like a small souvenir, but scent has a funny way of holding onto a place. One spritz and suddenly I’m back in a hotel room, walking down a street, or remembering a particular moment from the trip. Smell is deeply connected to memory, which makes it one of the easiest ways to bring ourselves back to the present — or briefly revisit somewhere we’ve been.

Touch Invites Us to Pay Attention

Moroccan rugs were everywhere on our travels. I found myself noticing them constantly: the variations in texture, the imperfections, the way they felt underfoot. We don't always think of touch as something we actively notice. But the feeling of a rug beneath your feet, the warmth of the sun, the texture of a table or a favorite sweater — these small physical sensations can pull us out of our heads and back into where we actually are.

Taste Turns a Moment into an Experience

One evening in Madrid, I had a gin and tonic that I’m still thinking about. Spanish gin, tonic, ginger essence, fresh mint — and one enormous cube of ice. Nothing about drinking it was rushed. The flavors, the temperature, the texture, even the sound of the ice made it something to notice. It reminded me how different an ordinary experience can feel when we actually slow down enough to experience it.

Mindfulness doesn't always look like sitting quietly with your eyes closed. Sometimes it's noticing a familiar scent. Feeling what's beneath your feet. Savoring the first sip of a drink.

Smell. Touch. Taste.

Our senses are always giving us a way back to the present. We just have to notice.
